Planning Summertime in Las Vegas

Am I really talking about summer already? OMG, as the kids say! Wonky-face emoji. Sunshine emoji. Swimmer emoji. You get the point. I’ve just realized a spring/summer trip is sneaking up on us next month and here I am thinking about sliding into the tanning booth beforehand for some Sin City glow. I don’t want to scare the aqua revelers at the Boulevard Pool at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas when we descend upon the resort…

Holiday Planning Las Vegas Style

Ah, the holidays! Such a joyous time to reminisce with loved ones over a glass of spiked egg nog or perhaps a skate around the Boulevard Pool at The Cosmopolitan. Yes, skating across waters above the Strip of Sin City. Unheard of?! Well, then you haven’t visited Las Vegas during the wintery holidays on our near horizon. Now the waters of course are iced over for the blades of skates to whisk festive resort revelers across as the neon and LED screens of the Strip below make for the only selfie-taking senecio! …

True Confessions of a Pageant Papi

I just returned home from competing for the title Mr. Gay Sin City USofA in Las Vegas last week. For the first time ever I kept quiet about where I was headed as I prepared to propel forward to reaching my dream and again compete nationally for the title Mr. Gay USofA. It was so hard to keep quiet because I am a firm believer in being your own biggest fan and top salesman. I tend to be very vocal with all the GO! FIGHT! STEVE! I’m able to muster. I become very pep rally for myself because no one does it for me. And that’s ok. It should matter to me the most! …

Time Doesn’t Matter in Las Vegas

I knew getting my mom to Las Vegas for the first time in over 30 years was going to be one for the memory books. She hadn’t been to Las Vegas since Bally’s was the MGM Grand and you could walk across the Strip directly to Caesars Palace. This was the pre-Mirage era. A different place in a much different time. This trip she would experience something unlike anything she had before. My mother would have her own terrace one bedroom suite for three glorious nights at our home away from home, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Here’s her journey through my words and our meticulous planning. …

Mom Takes The Cosmopolitan

What do you get when you take two fabulously gay husbands on their second honeymoon and their mother from Nashville who hasn’t been to Las Vegas in over 25+ years? I’ll let you know this Thanksgiving when Jacques and I treat my mother Betty to a trip like she’s never seen before! She’s already up in grand thoughts of slot machine winnings and Sin City soaking while reveling in the comforted joy that will be breathtaking at The Cosmopolitan. She hasn’t been to Vegas since Bally’s was the MGM Grand and you could walk to Caesar’s Palace straight across the street from corner to corner. Let that sink in. …

HAPPY HOLIDAYS IN SIN CITY

I’m playing catch up and getting around to blogging about spending Christmas at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. It was spectacular. We arrived to a very busy Valet on Sunday the 23rd and got checked in rather quickly. We’ve always been welcomed in VIP but the lines were so swift we enjoyed the leisure of the open lobby and the people-watching Sin City always promises. After a fabulous upgrade, we arrived to our incredible suite facing the Bellagio Fountains…

DINAH WEEKEND PALM SPRINGS SHAPES UP

Here Ye! Hear Me! All Ladies and Vageterians! It’s time to dust off those Chanel shades, bikinis and beach-ready-bodies (or Birkenstocks, Daisy Dukes and sleeveless tees – whatever your style) for Palm Springs #1 lesbian themed event Dinah Shore Weekend including the ever-popular and long-standing events produced by Club Skirts. …

STEVEN TAKES SIN CITY

As we all know by now that what happens in Vegas during one of my fabulous trips is told here with every gruesome detail of debauchery. Quick recap if you’re just joining in… I love Las Vegas! Always have, always will. OK, with that said, let’s dig into the ultimate sin of having your cake and eating it, too! This is how I celebrated my birthday — my way, in Sin City during the New Years’ holiday. …

SIN CITY AND STEVEN MICHAEL

I just returned from a fabulous visit to Las Vegas and as always, we had a fierce time. Sin City and Steven Michael always get along. The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas treated us very well with an upgraded suite and a round of drinks on the house. The Husband and I found ourselves in a sushi and sake serenade at Blue Ribbon Sushi and Grill…
