I’ve lived in Palm Springs for a good decade now and have seen the town change in many ways, both good and bad. It’s where I call home and read why.

Exploring the Extreme Build of Scott Cullens

Scott CullensTo see Scott Cullens walk by you can’t help but notice him. Some people have it and some people don’t. Master Cullens has it. He works very hard in perfecting his image and is not afraid of telling or showing you how it is. I’ve spoken with Scott here on my domain before but as the world turns so does his whirlwind of happenings. In the last interview we spoke of his fitness regiment, budding business ventures personal life and what it’s like to be him.  This round we catch up on his many modeling gigs in fabulous locales, sleeping in the nude, an honest take on his new reality show Extreme Builds and how he is now the self-professed “Lube King.” Take it off, err, away… Scott! And THANKS to the photographers who shared the images!

Moving On Up – E.O.Y. Class Of 2014

Steven Michael - Trinity TaylorAs the last pieces of pageant gig are put away until next time, I’m able to truly reflect on my recent adventure to compete at E.O.Y. and what it meant to me to be onstage once more. I’m also able to realize what I can accomplish, how others support or do not, and if it’s all worth it at the end of the day. This is my journey to the Entertainer of the Year 2014 contest pageant event. Also known as E.O.Y. Enjoy the read. X

Hottest Happenings in Gay Pop Culture

CrownAs I head to compete for the national title of Mr. Entertainer of the Year 2014, I realize I haven’t been blogging much here on gay culture. But promise I soon will return to the dish, dirt and delightful drama my words express on a more regular basis. It’s been all about me and that’s alright. When you run a national pageant, meaning chase a crown, you quickly find out who is there for you and who is not. And again, that’s alright. No Tea, No Shade. Semi-colon closed parenthesis.

Pretty Faces – A Trip To Contour Dermatology

Contour DermatologyWhen it comes to looking good, I try my best. We work with what we are given, change the fixable and mask the imperfections if we may. Overall I’m very happy with how I look. I don’t consider myself conceited but I do take pride in my image. Not bad for 46, I must beep-beep toot-toot! I try not to stay too wrapped up in my looks because “beauty is in the eyes of the beholder” even though many strive and intend on changing others’ perception of perfection.

Grieving Death While Living Life – In Memoriam

Remembering Our “Little One” Britney

Britney Jack RussellIt’s been just over a week since our little furry one made her way to Doggie Heaven, or the Rainbow Bridge, as many refer to it. It’s still very, very hard to believe she has gone and left us behind to remember her joyful life, celebrate the time and cherish the 13 years/3 days we had with our special one. It took me forever to even say the word cancer much less share the truth that my own little dog was battling it. For someone who lives their life openly on the web, I was for once quiet. It seemed if I didn’t say anything about it then it wasn’t true fact. I was in denial. My silence didn’t change one thing.

What’s Going On in Popular Culture Now

Kim GravelAs we reach the finale of January, Mother Nature nails Atlanta with Highway Snowpocalypse 2014 leaving stranded motorists in cars for hours upon hours sitting on icy impassible freeways. And since some departed their cars and began to walk to rescue, deserted cars now scatter the roads for messy clean-up. As winter provides the frigid temperatures creating chilly cold throughout the north and southeast, we lucky ones in California are hanging in with typically warm days. Today was cooler in the Valley but we’re in good shape compared to most.

A New Year Brings New Opportunities

2014When the new year comes around many things happen. I turn another year better and am reminded of childhood birthdays past when I would receive one gift for both Christmas and Birthday which completely royally sucked. I’ve told (and loving telling) the story about being the third baby born in 1968 in Nashville, TN. They forced labor on a woman who won the prizes for birthing the first of the year and at eighteen I graduated high school with her son. Music City U.S.A. is a small, small world.

Fabulous Palm Springs FolliesI love a good show. Entertain me, please!
