Las Vegas Rocks Our World This Weekend

My man and I are heading to Las Vegas tomorrow for some culinary revelry at Scott Conant’s “Italian Heaven” Scarpetta inside our weekend home, The Cosmopolitan. We have stayed at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas the last six trips we’ve made to Sin City and we would have it no other way. I’ve written countless words of worship about the place. Here’s a few more!

I love seeing the words “Check in at V.I.P.” I really, really do. From the very first story I told of my virgin trip to The Cosmopolitan for PULP magazine, they have always taken very good care of us! After we’re escorted swiftly through check-in we will unwind in the suite before hitting the Strip and then to the High Roller for a spin around the world’s tallest observation ferris wheel. We plan on winging it for dinner Saturday night so who knows where we may end up. The Linq which homes the High Roller has plenty of choices! We could very well come back to the room and order in as we watch the Bellagio fountains pound against a neon and LED background. You’ll read about it here very soon. Trust that.

On Sunday we are grabbing lounge chairs to perch by the Boulevard Pool, have some delicious lunch, get some wicked tanning and cruise the pretty people. 10 to 1 a nap will soon endue afterwards. Then it’s down to Scarpetta at 6:45 p.m. and off to see the sensual side of Cirque du Soliel at New York, New York Resort, Zumanity. We’ve wanted to see the show for quite some time and I found a cute deal on their website. It’s about the only Cirque show we haven’t seen.

Ah, man. I heart Las Vegas! Anxiously we can’t wait to see what unfolds this trip to America’s adult playground. I would love to pop my table-game cherry since I’ve never sat down and actually placed bets at the tables. The slots are what calls our names. And of course shameless shopping and ridiculous eating. There’s still packing to be done so off I go into the night. Sweet dreams and may visions of 777 dance in our heads. And a BIG THANKS! to John and Rob for watching our home and of course our little one, Barney. X
